How can I empower young people so they believe in themselves and keep going, even when things get tough? In this workshop, you’ll learn about the background and get practical tips.

Providing Sensitive Support: Interculturality in Career Choice
Many factors influence young people’s career choices, such as personal interests, family and friends, and cultural values. In this workshop, you will learn how to respond sensitively to the diverse cultural backgrounds of young people as they search for an apprenticeship.

Rights and Responsibilities in Vocational Training—Providing Safe Guidance and Support
This digital workshop offers caregivers of young people with a background in migration a clear and easy-to-understand overview of the most important rights and responsibilities in dual vocational training. They will learn how to support young people with questions about their training contracts, during conflicts, and in their day-to-day training to help them get off to a successful start in their professional lives.

This workshop provides practical knowledge and inspiration for promoting diversity and to combat discrimination When working with young people with a background of migration.

How does a modern selection process work? How can I help students preparing for selection processes? In this workshop, you’ll receive valuable tips and tricks for helping young people prepare effectively for selection interviews and tests.

Next-Level Training: Understanding and Using AI Tools
Together, we’ll explore various AI applications, such as ChatGPT and other smart tools, and experiment with how they can be used in an educational context.

Sinti and Roma: Understanding Their History and Recognizing Antiziganism
Who are the Sinti and Roma, and what historical experiences continue to shape their history to this day? In this workshop, you will gain a basic understanding of the history and current situation of the Sinti and Roma and learn about the main forms and effects of antiziganism. The workshop also aims to help you reflect on your own perspectives and become more aware of antiziganist stereotypes.

How can young people find the right career for themselves? How can I effectively support the career exploration process? This workshop offers ideas and practical tips.

“Those Down There”: Understanding Multiple Discrimination and Classism!
What do social background, poverty, and discrimination have to do with each other? In this workshop, we’ll explore multiple discrimination and classism and examine how social inequality is perceived, evaluated, and linked to other labels. We’ll also look at the ethnicization of social issues and ask what effects such labels can have on young people.

In this workshop, we’ll take a look together at the working world of tomorrow: We’ll highlight how job roles are changing and what skills will be in demand in the future. You’ll gain insights into how you can guide young people along this path and help them find their place in a changing professional world.

Gen Z – What Makes Generation Z Tick?
What makes the younger generation tick? What do they expect from their careers? In this workshop, we’ll dive into the world of Gen Z to broaden our horizons and gain a deeper understanding.
Project Background
The ESF Plus model program “Give Advice—Yes to Vocational Training!” is designed to help overcome barriers to accessing vocational training. The target group consists of the immediate caregivers of young immigrants or the young children of immigrants who are transitioning from school to vocational training. Support persons are individuals who are regularly present in the young people’s immediate environment and help shape their daily lives; this includes, among others, parents and relatives, social workers, physical education teachers, and instructors from community organizations. The program takes a structural approach by training and empowering key support figures from the young people’s immediate social circles in their role as advisors and raising their awareness of this specific role.
